2023 Air Kayaks Kokopelli Nirvana Inflatable Packraft

At a mere 11.25 lbs, the 7.5 foot Kokopelli Nirvana Inflatable PackRaft with Spraydeck and Tizip - part of the Whitewater Series - is an exceptional choice for paddlers needing lightweight, durable and drier river-running options. Featuring an upgraded spraydeck rather than open ports, paddlers can now focus on the river and not on getting wet.

All Kokopelli packrafts now come with upgraded D7 Leafield military valves. The two-chamber design (side chamber and seat) provides greater safety than traditional one-chamber packrafts, while one-inch seam welds with reinforced tape ensure durability and the highest-quality, air-holding properties. The Nirvana sidewalls are now constructed from a 210 denier, double-coated nylon, while the floor features a beefed-up DuPont™ Kevlar® Aramid-Nylon Blend - both have slightly increased TPU coatings for greater durability.

Twelve-inch diameter tubes ensure stability on the water as well as providing some protection from swells. Six integrated nylon d-rings (4 front/2 rear) serve as convenient gear-tie downs or for optional (not included) thigh straps. The Nirvana Spray Deck series does not include a floor, but has an inflatable seat base and backband.

One 21-inch TiZip zipper provides waterproof access inside the rear chamber - simply zip open the chamber and store camping supplies such as tent, sleeping bag and medium size dry bags. There are 2 more d-rings placed inside the cargo area for attaching optional Delta Inflatable Dry Bags.

The Nirvana models have been redesigned with 30% more volume in the stern. This provides more buoyancy and a slightly lower waterline, eliminating water pooling issues. A new bottom hull construction makes the packrafts more rigid. By repositioning where the hull bottom attaches to the side chambers, the paddler sits a bit higher, and doesn’t sag down in the boat. This in turn improves the backband support (it is now positioned lower on the back), as well as making it easier to paddle over the side chambers. Together, these improvements eliminated the need for an inflatable floor, saving on weight.
