At a mere 5.2 lbs, the new 7.1 foot Kokopelli Rogue-Lite Packraft is an exceptional choice for adventurers looking for a minimalist lightweight paddling option.
The Rogue-Lite weighs the least in the product line, making it very desirable for long distance hiking. With a thinner 210 denier hull material and beefed-up Kevlar reinforcement, the Rogue-Lite packs down smaller and weighs roughly 2 lbs less than the standard Rogue, making it more desirable for longer distances yet nearly as durable as the Nirvana.
One-inch seam welds with reinforced tape ensure durability and the highest-quality, air-holding properties.
Twelve-inch diameter tubes ensure stability on the water as well as providing some protection from swells. Four integrated nylon d-rings serve as convenient gear-tie downs.
The Kokopelli models have been redesigned with 30% more volume in the stern. This provides more buoyancy and a slightly lower waterline, eliminating water pooling issues while a new bottom hull construction makes the packrafts more rigid. By repositioning where the hull bottom attaches to the side chambers, and including an inflatable seat base, the paddler sits a bit higher and doesn’t sag down in the boat. The seams are first stitched and then welded with double-reinforced 1 in (2.5cm) wide seam tape. Additionally, the pontoon-to-floor attachment point is glued to the sidewall and then reinforced with v-seam tape around the entire interior of the packraft.
